Centennial Hills Update

Skye Canyon model homes are open, homes are under construction and the new park is nearly ready to open. Officer Igor Saldo and his partner Allen Beck were assassinated last year and the community is honoring our fallen officers by dedicating two parks in the area to them.

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports: “Soldo Memorial Park will be near Lone Mountain and Shaumber roads in the as-yet-unbuilt northwest valley neighborhood of Skye Canyon, roughly 7 miles southwest of Alyn Beck Memorial Park, at Fort Apache and Iron Mountain roads. He said both officers are already honored at Police Memorial Park, on Metro Academy Way just north of Cheyenne Avenue. That park features a fallen officer tree grove, memorial wall and memorial statue.”

The Northwest real estate market is hot, with 868 active single family homes on the market, 527 homes in the Centennial Hills area are under contract, and 325 homes sold in the area last month.

With less than a 90 day inventory of available homes, the area is still showing as some of the best values in the area. And with such a high demand, homeowners thinking about selling should definitely take advantage of the market. It’s still very brisk with great price appreciation.
