Las Vegas Crime Stats Are Scary!

There has been an 80% increase in violent crime and homicides. Las Vegas Strip Crime is up. We know many of you, police officers, are considering mid-year retirements, which is typical; don't make an emotional decision based on being overworked and under appreciated. Make sure it is a good decision for you and your family. Remember, I am here for you and as a past Metro Officer myself, I know what retirement planning from the force is like.

With the 80% increase, we know that there are only 96 detectives back to patrol on a rotating basis as a saturation team now to try to curb violent crime. What happens to their cases? We need to stop this violent crime! Being short on officers is not the way to do it. We appreciate you and love what you do for our community. Please re-think retirement and give me a call before you make a decision.

Regardless, if your home is for sale or not, it's important to know the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department offers a FREE service where a Crime Prevention Specialist will come out to your home and complete a FREE evaluation that includes an assessment on Contents and Valuables in your Home, Lighting, Doors and Window Locks, Access, Alarm Systems, Proper Address Display and Landscape as well as any other areas of concern the Crime Prevention Specialist may find.

America's Night Out Against Crime- Leave a Light On

National Night Out- Evey homeowner is concerned about the safety and well being of their family and choosing the right neighborhood when considering your next home purchase is a big decision. Local police departments are coming together with residents, on August 4th, 2015 as a way to connect and create a sense of community while providing neighbors with information to keep your family, home and community as a place you feel comfortable to call home. As a retired police officer, David Radcliffe, Las Vegas Realtor, is passionate about helping you feel right at home in the safe neighborhood that you choose. Search for Las Vegas Homes Now!  Attending a National Night Out Event is a great way to see Las Vegas communities in action.

National Night Out events are designed to: Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; Generate support for local anti-crime programs; and Provide an event for community members to convene and learn how to protect their neighborhoods.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will partner with neighbors from around  the Las Vegas Valley to host the community-based program that began with residents leaving their porch lights on and grew into a national show of neighborhood unity.
