Does your cell phone work in Summerlin?
Having Problems Connecting in Downtown Summerlin?
“Why didn’t you answer the phone? Or respond to my text?”
It’s a typical, heated, conversation that happens between
friends and family as they visit Downtown Summerlin. We love Downtown Summerlin
with great entertainment, shopping and dining establishments, it’s a great
place to visit, but not a great place to connect. Cell phones don’t seem to
work in Summerlin, regardless of your carrier. Reception is terrible!
Why does Summerlin hate cell phones? Howard Hughes has an
amazing project, but did a terrible job of making sure you were connected. The lack of service makes things like picking
up your car in valet difficult. You must text the valet desk, but if you don’t
have service, the text does not go through. You show up and they are not ready
for you. It seems like a lack of service, when really it’s a lack of cell phone
coverage. In order to check in at the movie theater, through Fandango, you must
use a QR code for tickets, but if you can’t connect on your mobile device, it
makes catching a movie frustrating. We all hate to be frustrated and in today’s
day and age, we expect to be connected. It may be that you want to connect with
your kids and or spouse for dinner after a day of shopping, but a lack of cell
service makes it difficult.
What if there was a real emergency and you needed to call
9-1-1 in Downtown Summerlin? Would your phone connect, or would it be searching
for service? Summerlin residents and Vegas locals are demanding service!
Howard Hughes what are you going to do about this? It’s
2016, there is no reason for a lack of cell service in such a great place. Help
us out!
Make your voice heard; even if you can’t while on property
